GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES – TODAY WAS A HARD DAY ???
Today was a hard day as Remi (Peony) had a seizure after eating her food. We rushed her into the vet’s office and due to limited resources on Saturday they could only run basic tests. They are most concerned that Remi might have something called Portosystemic Shunt. Larger breeds tend to have an intrahepatic shunt. Today they tested Remi’s levels and all were in the normal range, however, some of the results were in the higher end of the normal range. These point to her having Portosystemic Shunt. The only way to determine what Remi has is to have more blood work and an ultrasound on Monday. Today’s bills were $350 and the cost for surgery (if confirmed) will be 2-4K. At this time we are not sure what is 100% wrong and we will let you all know more when we find things out.
